Our youth activities for 2009 to 2010 include the following The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) is a 3 day program for young people from 14 to 17 years old and we will be sponsoring a student to attend this years course Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA). The next MUNA is being held in May 2010 in the Legislative Assembly Chamber of the Victorian Parliament. We will be sponsoring a team from a local secondary school as well our Club is running the event this year Siemens Science Experience. This is a program for year 10 students. The program takes place in the science laboratories of 36 universities around Australia.It is a fun 3 day experience involving scientific experiments, lectures and information about further studies in science, technology and engineering Interact is an international organisation of service and social clubs for young people of secondary school age that fosters leadership and responsible citizenship and promotes peace and international understanding. Interact Clubs are sponsored by Rotary Clubs. RCOB is planning to initiate an Interact Club at the Beaumaris Campus of the Sandringham Secondary College |
